Happy Precedent’s Day

February 20, 2017 by admin 27 Comments

This year on President’s Day 2017, we have many things to take note of that have never before been associated with a U.S. President.  A time of notable precedents, indeed.

Donald Trump, number 45 on the presidential hit parade, sets a series of first-evers, ie.:

  1. At 70, he is the oldest incoming President.
  2. A multi-billionaire, he is the wealthiest President ever. (Tax returns?)
  3. His wife, Melania, is the first FLOTUS to have posed nude.  (Publically, that is.)
  4. He is the first President to have his own line of “super premium” vodka.  (And he doesn’t drink!)
  5. The first president to have owned a professional football team.  (Okay, USFL, but still…)
  6. He owns the tallest residential building in the world. (Trump Tower @ 90 stories)
  7. He was the producer and star of a TV reality show – The Apprentice (earning $375,000 per episode!)
  8. No president has ever been threatened with impeachment before being sworn in. (And continues to be.)
  9. No sitting President has been married three times.
  10. He has his own luxury jumbo jet, helicopter, and golf courses.

Number One

There is little doubt that we have yet to see the last of the firsts with this man, who is by far the most “precedential” Chief Executive to occupy the oval office to date.

Next year’s list should be longer.

The Muslim “Ban”

February 20, 2017 by admin 27 Comments

Japanese – Americans in the Camp

Tokuji Yoshihashi (LA Times)

The Los Angeles Times did a piece today on the 75th anniversary of the executive order that led to Japanese-American citizens being interned by our own government during World War II. The Times article draws a parallel between Democrat President Roosevelt putting American citizens in barbed-wire enclosed detention camps, and Republican President Trump making citizens from seven dysfunctional Islamic countries wait an extra 90 days before getting vetted to travel into the U.S.

Tokuji Yoshihashi, a 94 year-old American veteran of the camps, and of military service with the highly decorated U.S. Army “Nisei” battalion in the European Theater of Operations, was interviewed. He was quoted as saying “That order to ban all the Muslims … I don’t think that’s right.”

Later in the article, former Democrat U.S. Rep. Norman Mineta is quoted “……we have a particular moral obligation to remind people that measures like the Muslim ban are not just unconstitutional, they are un-American.”

The MUSLIM BAN? What MUSLIM BAN?  The Times continues to facilitate the myth that the executive order is a “Muslim ban,” rather than truthfully and accurately explain that it was a 90 day moratorium on travel to the U.S., inapplicable to over 1.26 billion of the world’s Muslims.

You’ll have to Wait…..

The Times downplays the fact that a Democrat put thousands of American citizens behind the barbed wire in American prison camps, without due process. Then they take a disingenuous shot at Donald Trump.

Disgusting.

Bring in the Clowns

February 18, 2017 by admin 27 Comments

The famed Ringling Bros. circus is closing down for good after a 146-year run, Kenneth Feld, chairman and CEO of Feld Entertainment, said in a statement posted last month to the circus website. In his statement, Feld cited high operating costs and declining ticket sales, which apparently saw a further drop after the circus stopped using elephants in response to pressure from animal rights activists.

This is a truly sad event for the youth of America, who will never have the opportunity to inhale the aromas of straw, animal dung, and junk food unique to the childhood circus experience, and watch slack-jawed as aerialists, jugglers, and wild animals perform fantastic feats of skill and daring.  “Ladies and Gentlemen and children of all ages….”

Clown News Network

This also a truly sad event for the adults of America, because all of the newly unemployed and out-of-work clowns will soon start to find jobs as commentators and analysts on mainstream media news programs.
